Superior Shield is a proprietary liquid formulation that covalently bonds into the windshield glass on a molecular level, changing the surface properties of that glass, creating an invisible impact resistant and water repellent protective coating.

To the naked eye windshield glass appears smooth. Under a microscope, however, glass has a rough and pitted surface, much like a sheet of sandpaper.  As road debris hits the windshield, it "grabs" the rough surface and exerts pressure on a concentrated area, causing the glass to crack or ship. The trick is to change the glass surface to reduce the "grabbing" effect.

Superior Shield changes the surface properties of the glass by filling in those imperfections on a molecular level. The treated glass is no longer rough and pitted but clean and smooth, thus reducing friction. Debris deflects off the glass leaving little to no damage.

The initial treatment is a four step process that is applied by a trained superior shield technician. This process takes approximately 15-20 minutes. It is strongly recommended that your windshield be cleaned and re coated every 4 months to maintain maximum protection from road debris, sand, and environmental contaminates.
